Cbus ’09

June 19th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

Well, its been over a week since MLG Columbus. Since then ALOT of things have changed, but first let me recap Columbus ’09.

Day one went great, we 2-0′d our first two winner bracket games with ease and things where looking pretty good. Day two however, was a different story. We where matched up against pT Uprising in winners round 3 (the number one seeded AM team). First game was Pit Slayer, I believe at on point we where up 27-18, but somehow they came back due to the lack of teamwork on our part and won the game 50-47 or something like that. Narrows Flag was game two and we got the first cap, but then again, or teamwork fell apart and we ended up loosing 3-1. Then loosers round 4 came around and we ended up getting pretty much pooped on teamwork wise against some randoms and lost losers round 4. Such a blow to our moral, that a roster change was in question.

Prior to this event we had some problems with our teamwork and where thinking about replacing NiNE C due to his incosistency and his over aggressive play style that was hurting our team more than it was helping us. However, it was decided that we give him another shot in which he showed some improvement. Then came some issues with my work schedule and other things going on with people’s schedules that made us miss some practices in which we could have used to get better, however, it seemed like only a few on this team where actually putting time on there own to get better individually which became clear at cbus. So to put things short, a few of us had gotten better individually, while others didn’t put in the time, and as a team we had about a good weeks worth of practice coming in which I knew was going to bite us in the ass when it came around to Cbus.

So now, post columbus. So pretty much after we had gotten knocked out of losers round 4 we knew a roster change had to happen. We took all things into consideration. First it was going to be Kronen, and I looking into teaming with Silk E and Pocho from QoP. However, that didn’t pan out since they where teaming with other guys. It also wouldn’t be fair to Fuzion who has always been cosistent and has probably been the clutchest on the team by far. So now came the question, do we replace c NiNE? All of us agreed that we where going to drop cNiNE and replace him with a good local of which we were going to find when we got back to dallas before the O.K. gamers tournament at the end of June.

So the O.K. gamers tournament had a XBL seeding pre tournament type deal where they where going to run games and seed teams accordingly. We had a game last tuesday in which I had asked if everyone (including nine c since we hadn’t found anyone yet) could be on and everyone said yes. Only a few minutes later did I get a phone call from Chase aka Kronen. Chase was letting me know that he was quitting halo since he had alot of things to do since he was about to go off to college. This was a HUGE shock to me. Up until this point, Kronen was having shirts made with I ‘heart’ kronen on them and selling them to kids at his school sort of like a fundraiser to help pay for out tournaments, and here he was a week later saying he’s quitting halo. I respect his decision, and I wish him the best, but now this left fallout without one of there key players. Now, with this information, I texted both cnine and fuzion on what’s going on with them. Fuzion responded telling me he was going to quit as well, then cnine called me a day or two later saying he was quitting, but would play if I needed someone to team with. So here I am, a guy with no team. It was fun while it lasted, but this was all such a big suprise, all the time and effort we’ve spent going to tournaments has all come to an end. This looks like the end of Team Fallout. I wish all of you the best, and it was fun while it lasted.

Fuzion- sorry things couldn’t work out, hopefully you will find a team for dallas. Maybe you and I should go to a KoTC and destroy everyone in the 2v2′s

cNiNE- LOL.. you crazy SOB. You always made me smile everytime I was feeling blue

Kronen- best of luck at TCU, have a blasty blast

Ryne- you’re pretty much one of the coolest guys I know, thanx for all your hard work in setting up all the lans and a40′s. You rock!
