Cbus ’09
Well, its been over a week since MLG Columbus. Since then ALOT of things have changed, but first let me recap Columbus ’09.
Day one went great, we 2-0′d our first two winner bracket games with ease and things where looking pretty good. Day two however, was a different story. We where matched up against pT Uprising in winners round 3 (the number one seeded AM team). First game was Pit Slayer, I believe at on point we where up 27-18, but somehow they came back due to the lack of teamwork on our part and won the game 50-47 or something like that. Narrows Flag was game two and we got the first cap, but then again, or teamwork fell apart and we ended up loosing 3-1. Then loosers round 4 came around and we ended up getting pretty much pooped on teamwork wise against some randoms and lost losers round 4. Such a blow to our moral, that a roster change was in question.
Prior to this event we had some problems with our teamwork and where thinking about replacing NiNE C due to his incosistency and his over aggressive play style that was hurting our team more than it was helping us. However, it was decided that we give him another shot in which he showed some improvement. Then came some issues with my work schedule and other things going on with people’s schedules that made us miss some practices in which we could have used to get better, however, it seemed like only a few on this team where actually putting time on there own to get better individually which became clear at cbus. So to put things short, a few of us had gotten better individually, while others didn’t put in the time, and as a team we had about a good weeks worth of practice coming in which I knew was going to bite us in the ass when it came around to Cbus.
So now, post columbus. So pretty much after we had gotten knocked out of losers round 4 we knew a roster change had to happen. We took all things into consideration. First it was going to be Kronen, and I looking into teaming with Silk E and Pocho from QoP. However, that didn’t pan out since they where teaming with other guys. It also wouldn’t be fair to Fuzion who has always been cosistent and has probably been the clutchest on the team by far. So now came the question, do we replace c NiNE? All of us agreed that we where going to drop cNiNE and replace him with a good local of which we were going to find when we got back to dallas before the O.K. gamers tournament at the end of June.
So the O.K. gamers tournament had a XBL seeding pre tournament type deal where they where going to run games and seed teams accordingly. We had a game last tuesday in which I had asked if everyone (including nine c since we hadn’t found anyone yet) could be on and everyone said yes. Only a few minutes later did I get a phone call from Chase aka Kronen. Chase was letting me know that he was quitting halo since he had alot of things to do since he was about to go off to college. This was a HUGE shock to me. Up until this point, Kronen was having shirts made with I ‘heart’ kronen on them and selling them to kids at his school sort of like a fundraiser to help pay for out tournaments, and here he was a week later saying he’s quitting halo. I respect his decision, and I wish him the best, but now this left fallout without one of there key players. Now, with this information, I texted both cnine and fuzion on what’s going on with them. Fuzion responded telling me he was going to quit as well, then cnine called me a day or two later saying he was quitting, but would play if I needed someone to team with. So here I am, a guy with no team. It was fun while it lasted, but this was all such a big suprise, all the time and effort we’ve spent going to tournaments has all come to an end. This looks like the end of Team Fallout. I wish all of you the best, and it was fun while it lasted.
Â
Fuzion- sorry things couldn’t work out, hopefully you will find a team for dallas. Maybe you and I should go to a KoTC and destroy everyone in the 2v2′s
cNiNE- LOL.. you crazy SOB. You always made me smile everytime I was feeling blue
Kronen- best of luck at TCU, have a blasty blast
Ryne- you’re pretty much one of the coolest guys I know, thanx for all your hard work in setting up all the lans and a40′s. You rock!

Looking Forward…
Well, its been awhile since my last blog. Its about that time of year where I’m trying to find a balance of working and studying for my finals and trying to sneak in a few games of halo a day. This means that I have put off blogging for a bit, but I have some time to let everyone posted on whats going on.
Fallout hasn’t had alot of team practice lately. I would say that last time we actually got good practice was at the Tournament last weekend where we took second. A lot of close games, but I think we learned from it and I can tell we keep getting better and better.
We have been playing mostly by ourselves and are really going to kick up the team practice here during the next couple of weeks when everyone is out of school. With Charles, Ryne and I getting ready for finals and chase and jacob getting ready to finish with their school year, its been hard finding time to practice with work and such as a factor.
We will be ready for columbus and hope to place even better than we have in the past. We have a two day lan coming up in a few weeks so check back for more updates and catch the live stream.
That’s all for now,

MLG Meadowlands Recap
Well, I wrote a HUGE blog about our meadowlands trip. It was a day by day detailed description of what happened, however, for some reason it didn’t post and I didn’t save. My mistake, I’ll know next time to save often.
Having that been said, I will no make this a wall of text.
Meadowlands was fun, the best Fallout has ever done. We lost to Dirrect Effect, 7th seed, Thrust, Violence, Ghost Attack, and Pistol. Great team, we learned alot. Then lost to New Breed, warkid’s team. Shouldn’t have lost to them, i think we where just not playing well together. I had probably the worst game I’ve played all season. 3-10 or something along those lines. I was posting up JR stats which really hurt our team.
All in all it was a great time. We’re going to Columbus and are in the PCQ right now. I want to thank our Coach Ryne for stepping up his game and doing a great job coaching as well as setting up the room lan. Austin, who was filming the documentry, was a cool guy and is also a magician, which is always neat.
That is all for now, we will be lanning former Fallout member Marteeeen Marteeeeenez aka JR and his new team tomorrow. I’ll post stats and gameplay tomorrow. Also, be on the lookout for the Meadowlands Documentry. We had fun with this one

Generals Lan
Its been a few days since the Generals Lan and man was it fun! I’ve never played Zero Hour on lan before and I didn’t know if it would be any different. We played a few games, it was fun. We played a 3 hour game 3v3 against Charles, Ryne, and Dylan (one of charles’s and ryne’s friends) and couldn’t finish because our computers crashed.
I also beat Chase 1v1 in like 5 minutes. He couldn’t handle the initial drop and then the rocketvee rush shortly after. NEWB!! After that we pretty much did some “other” things which were hilarious! I also found out just how good Charles was at CS. 3v1 and he would still destroy us. Overall, it was a nice break from halo and some good times. Turrets guy and Pure Pwnage……….. AMAZING!
Yesturday we had a little lan vs. a local team to practice split screening. We played about 20+ games and didn’t drop a single game. It was practice for Meadowlands, but should help us out when we travel to Nacogdoches tomorrow for a tourney.
One last thing, its official that Team Fallout is coming out with a montage. No details on when it will be released but I saw some of it, and its going to be SIIIIIICK. Austin is doing a great job and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.

This is what you call LAN? L-A-N?
Hello everyone,
Team Update
Been awhile since my last blog and thought I’d keep you guys up to date with what’s going on with our team. We just got done lanning today against Outlaw, Sniperboss, Caboose, and Final Shotz. They were not a team but it was a very good practice for us to try out some new things we’ve been working on since our previous lan the week before where Outlaws team won i think 19 out of the 22 games we played. So needless to say we had to change a few things in our game since what we where doing before wasn’t going to cut it, and I think we took a big step this past week with coming up with some new things you’re going to be seeing us do at Meadowlands.
To add some drama to the LAN today, I guess one of the guys on the other team said we where being cocky, and thought highly of ourselves after the lan. HAHAHA! I thought this was kind of stupid since we’re all pretty chill and did nothing of the sort to make the guys who drove a few hours seem unwelcome at the lan. We just wanted the lan practice, if you got personal issues, go cry to mommy.
Str8 Montage
Str8 Rippon came out with their montage on friday. If you haven’t seen it check it out here (http://gameroom.mlgpro.com/view/TRYG6kNx4Ko.html) Its pretty sick. Speaking of montages, Team Fallout has something in the works so I’ll keep you guys posted as things develop.
Assembly
So I got the pleasure to play the mythic map pack today courtesy of our coach Ryne. All three maps where pretty amazing, but Assembly is probably the best map for competitive play. MLG is going to be stupid if they do not pick this map up for the circuit. They need to get rid of Onslaught flag, and Amp slayer and replace it with Assembly Flag and Slayer. Assembly has MLG written all over it. There’s so many lines of sight that teamwork is goingto be key to victory. It reminded me of a cross between Midship and Derelict from Halo 1. Loved it!
Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour
I got a copy of Zero Hour the other day (I know I’m far behind). I’ve been playing a bit to see all the new units and stuff. I hear Ryne and Charles are like 22-0 while playing 2′s. Now, i’m not saying I’m going to beat them…. yet. Me and Chase will try. Look for us to be having a Generals Lan sometime in the near future.

I’m out, peace

Its only just begun…
Well today is a bitter sweet day. Fallout has been knocked out of the Meadowlands Ladder by Deadicated 09 in the 3rd round of Loser Bracket. Since we have lost I don’t really feel like writing and indepth recap of all the games. Instead, i’m looking forward to meadowlands. Now that we have a somewhat decent seed going into the first event Fallout is now going to focus on getting in as much LAN practice as we can. We will be lanning against what I hear to be a very good team from east Texas which should help us out in fine tuning some of our gametypes.
Overall our play has gotten better over the course of the ladder, and its only going to get better. We’re moving on, because its only just begun…

Playoff match vs. Entropy
Let me start this blog by first saying that I am proud to be apart of Team Fallout. We played with alot of intensity and were really getting into the series tonight. Like I said yesturday, we wanted revenge on Entropy. Tonight, we got just that
. If it sounds like I don’t like Entropy, let it be known that I do not. To me they are like our rivals and I enjoy beating them.
Onslaught CTF (Entropy 3 – Fallout 3)/ Overtime (Entropy 5 – Fallout 2)
Another game on onslaught. We will one day figure out how to play this map. We keep getting better everytime we play it but tonight things just didn’t seem to go our way. We knew going into this game that Entropy likes to rush and they did just that. It got to the point where i was like wtf? They would literally not shoot our guys up top, go straight into our base, pull the flag and run it when we were all still alive. For some reason, it was working out for them. We just couldn’t finish any kills (thanx XBL). They got up 3-0 on us for this very reason. This is when we started to talk alot more. I kept telling jacob, chase, and charles to talk and all of a sudden we started to get map control. The rest of the game was fast paced. We got our first flag cap with about 5 minutes of so left to play. We quickly got another cap shortly after. The last minute I can’t really remember. All I remember is chase coming up clutch and stoping a flag cap towards the end which sprung us a counter cap to tie the game and force overtime. AMAZING! I owe you some Five guys buddy!
So the game went into overtime and Entropy basically rushed two guys bottom middle, grabbed the flag and capt it right at the beginng. This is something you see newbs do, but yet again they got away with it. Since it was obvious Entropy didn’t know the rules, they continued to play but my mind was else where. I was ready to play the next match, but they kept playing and got 4 more caps. Whatever…
Pit TS (Fallout 50- Entropy 37)
So at this point we had pretty much figured out how Entropy was going to play the series. They where going to rush, play stupid, and hopefully things would work out their way. Well on onslaught that play style seems to work since its such a small map, however Pit Slayer just so happens to be one of our strongest gametypes. That being said, we pretty much got off to a great start. We where spawn trapping very well and where keeping pressure on them at the side of the map. Eventually they started to come back and get within three kills with the score being 40-37 in our favor. However, we did probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. The next minute or se we going on a 10-0 kill run and pull of what turned out to be a very successful rush. Chase, aka KroNEN, went huge this game. 18 kills with only 9 deaths while blaining kids. Charles (c NiNE) had 11 assist which helped our team put pressure on them and Jacob (FuZioN) had a very solid performance with 11 kills and 8 deaths. Thanks Entropy for rushing
Guardian Ball (Fallout 194 – Entropy 171)
So the series is tied 1-1. We all felt very confident going into gaurdian ball if we could just keep the pressure on them and hold them to just little amounts of ball time while trying to setup as quickly as possible for when we had the ball. If there’s one thing we learned last week vs. PoP Bottles is that every little bit of ball time counts. I was pretty much objective whore this game, I picked up the ball when I could and helped out when my team mates needed help. This was a very fast paced game. So fast that I can’t even put it into words. The game was back and fourth. The difference was us picking up chunks of ball time and in the end it came down to the last 4 minutes. Feel free to download the gameplay on my fileshare at http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=FEARIST to watch the last 4 minutes. In the end we held them off and picked up more ball time to seal the deal. What a great and close game.
Narrows CTF (Fallout 3 – Entropy 1)
The series is now 2-1 in our favor. The fourth game is Narrows CTF, how could we loose? We had the momentum, and had our best gametype next. So great that we limit kids to one kill (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=991538695&player=FEARIST) check out Sick Two. WHAT A JOKE! Anyways,  we had so much confidence going into this game. We where all saying we had this game in the bag, and saying that we where going to finish the series now. The game starts off with us getting 4 dead and getting the first cap within the first minute. Then 2 minutes later we keep the pressure on them and got a second cap. This is when Entropy started to get desperate and got a cap. Then they started to really pour it on with there mancannon rushes, HA! We quickly adjusted to how they where playing. FuZioN went absolutely huge with the sniper towards the end and single handly took back top middle and triggered the 3rd and final cap. Fallout wins the series 3-1
When looking at the films I could really tell that our hardwork was starting to payoff and we’re playing more as a team rather than a group of individuals. Thank you Entropy for playing, hope to see you at meadowlands and beat you on lan and send you home

Practice, Practice, Practice.
Hello all! Fearist here letting everyone know what’s going on with the team. We’ve been really focusing on our weaker game types these past two days and trying to fine tune them for our playoff match tomorrow. We are getting better day-by-day and are scrimming some very good teams.
Playoff Match vs. Entropy
Tomorrow we will play Entropy I believe. For those of you who don’t know, Entropy was the team we lost to in San Diego who knocked us into the losers bracket early and ultimately knocked us out again later on in the losers bracket only a few rounds before making pro bracket. So needless to say, we are looking forward to this match with vengence and are looking for a little pay back. It should be a very intense and close series.
Assembly Game play
MLGpro has released some MLG style game play of the new map Assembly. I must say I am very impressed with how the map is layed out and plays. With the lack of good maps in the current rotation I would hope MLG would pick up this new, fast paced, map for competitive play. Feel free to check the game plays out at MLGpro.com
That’s all for now, keeping it short and sweet. I’ll post tomorrow about how the games go. Later…
